with the Bank, 30th August, 1919.
NOTE: Lieutenant Kent is one of four brothers who saw
active service during the war. A sister served as V.A.D. during
1917 and 1918.
KENT, WILLIAM HENRy-Private. Born 31st August, 1899, in
England. Father, W. H. Kent, Contractor. Educated at Brit–
annia High School, Vancouver, B.C. Entered the service of the
Bank, 5th August, 1916. Enli ted, 25th February, 1918, from
CoJeman branch, in 68th Battery, Canadian Field Artillery, with
the rank of Gunner. Transferred to Young Soldiers' Battery,
Canadian Reserve Artillery, June, 1918; Canadian Army P aJr
Corps, February, 1919. Service: With Night Staff, Canadian
Army Pay Corps, London. Returned to duty with the Bank,
17th October, 1919.
NOTE: Mr. Kent was precluded from active service on account
of being under age.

KERR, ALEXANDER :\-1"C"RRAy-Corporal. Born 8th June,
1890. Father, Thomas Kerr, late of H.:M. Customs (deceased) .
Entered the service of the Bank, 19th October, 1908. Enlisted,
November, 1914, from R egina branch, in 28th Canadian Battalion,
with the rank of Private. Promoted Corporal. Service: In
action in France with the 28th Battalion, up to and including the
Battle of the Somme, 1916.
Died of Wounds, 26th September, 1916.
KERR, DAVID MASSEY
GJLL~1AN-Private.
Born 29th August,
1893, at Limerick, Ireland. Father, Robert Jameson Kerr, Whole–
sale and Retail Provision Merchant. Educated at Masonic
School, Dublin. Entered the service of the Bank, 13th February,
1912. Enlisted, 16th May, 1917, from Keremeos branch, in
Canadian Army Medical Corps, with the rank of Private. Served
as Hospital Orderly, Clerk and Regimental Policeman. (Medically
unfit for active service). Demobilized, 30th August, 1919.
Re–
turned to duty with the Bank, 4th October, 1919. Retired from
the service of the Bank, 31st March, 1920.
KERR, FLETcHER-Second Lieutenant. Born 12th June, 1891,
at
~lanilla,
Ontario, Canada. Father, Albert Kerr, Farmer.
Educated at Public and High Schools. Entered the service of the
Bank, 8th J anuary, 1910. Enlisted, 15th November, 1917, from
Port Arthur branch, where he was Accountant, in Royal Air Force,
